Guest guest
Dott, I feel for you deeply. I'll be taking in a friend for surgery tomorrow morning. She is 5'3 " and weighs 250, give or take a lb. She's in her 30's. She's almost you. She's decided on a distal TODAY, after monitoring so many lists for so long. Even if your experience isn't a GLOWING one (but certainly not at all bad), you may have saved JUST one from not getting her full loss. As much as it hurt me to reveal my staple line disruption, it can still be used to teach others. So, I must repeat my surgery. So what? I LIVED to have this problem! Yipee! Where I was, I wasn't going to live past my co-morbities. And if I hadn't experienced marginal ulcers and protein deficiency, there'd be one less voice of experience to help the others along. I think you're doing fabulously and I love your heart. If you need another surgery to finish the job, then more power to you. If you are OK where you are, then I'm glad for you, too. Dropping 200 lbs. with a proximal isn't exactly a failure, you know? It shows how well you've minded your business and it certainly shows all of US that IF " pushing away form the table " was a real life solution, YOU have what it takes to have done it. Unfortunately, just as I can't overcome blue eyes or red hair with will power, I can't overcome my morbid obesity, either. It just IS. And now with a broken tool, my MO will come out of remission. In my roundy way of speaking here, I just wanted to say that I think you've done smashingly. ** No matter what my mail says in the " from " , please reply to me at: vitalady@... ** Thanks!
