May I ask how much Xanax you were taking at your highest dose? I have a friend

who is going through the same thing. Xanax can have a horrible rebound affect on

some people (not all). I keep trying to tell her it's the Xanax.

My physician prescribed Xanax - which I was immediately paradoxical to, but in

his great wisdom told me to increase the dose. Over time I was totally out of it

and near having seizures because of the drug. My nervous system was so sick from

the drug I could hardly taper and was stuck on it for almost 2 years.

The result is it caused permanent damage: paresthesias all over my body,

burning, prickling along with muscle pain that made my old fibro look like a

gift. Severe nausea, anxiety and such bad agitation I have spent entire days

walking.
