Guest guest
" i had a dr appt yesterday with my pm dr. i have been seeing her for three years. i went to see her yesterday she said my blood work come back with nothing in my system i was floored. told her i want another blood test. i never did see the results for myself. all she gave me was a list of dr names telling me to find me another dr asap. " I don't know how the practice works where your doc is at, but in Oregon, the law states that when a doctor discharges a patient, they have to cover them for 30 days. So although she told you to get another doctor asap, I don't believe she can just dump you. I would ask to see the blood test. Also, (if you're up to the challenge) call and speak to the medical director of the practice your (possibly former) doc is in and state your complaint and that you requested to have another blood test and did not get to see the results for yourself. As a nurse, I can tell you that doctors are fallible (heck, as a patient I can tell you that as well). If you present your case reasonably, rationally, calmly and backing it up with facts to support you (e.g. you've been a pt. for 3 years, you've never had problems until now, you haven't asked for refills early, etc--assuming that's all true) then the reasonable physician will look investigate this. Regardless of what happens, it sounds like this doctor is no longer the right fit for you. Speaking for myself, I would feel betrayed, hurt and humiliated. Take gentle care, (Swannie) in Oregon.
