Guest guest
Ask your physician if he believes you may have UCTD undifferentiated connective tissue disease? I was dx with this before my RA test was positive and my rheumy tried every drug on this earth. I know several people who don't test positive for RA but take the meds and get relief from them. If you do decide to take the meds, let us know how it goes please. The website is : http://www.aarda.org NORD is the National organization for Rare diseases and it also has an extensive listing of auto immune diseases and disorders. When I first was diagnosed with an auto immune disorder it started with Barr Epstein Infection, then Reynaurds, then UCTD and then Connective Tissue Disease, then Mixed connective tissue disease and possibly Lupus, etc. I felt I just need to treat the symptoms and go from there. I was even thought to have MS for awhile. The therapy for most of these are the same, prednisone. I cannot worry about the diagnosis but certainly do need the symptoms treated as they occur. Osteopathic doctors believe in this and then work on the diagnosis, whereas most doctors work on the diagnosis and then will treat the symptoms and the patients suffer the symptoms. I have appreciated my osteopathic doctors I have had while in the military because of this. I say just treat my symptoms until you find out what is wrong with me as it took seven years for the orthopedic doctor to properly diagnose me .. I don't know what I would have done without pain relief if I had to wait. Bennie \ > > >

He is buying me time, and preventing further nerve damage by allowing me sufficient pain relief to be functional. I have been misdiagnosed before, and I am not in any hurry to get misdiagnosed again.
