Guest guest
I have had my history with bladder problems and still continue but I tell my story for a purpose. The inefficacy of the medical establishment and labs let us down. My history with illness started in general with what would become known as a simple(?) bladder infection with e-coli. I had never had a uti and didn't know the symptoms of one and so I infected myself due to improper cleansing during one road trip. Subsequent days produced the burning and frequency customary to uti's. I received the standard 10 days antibiotic but that did not suffice in eradicating the uti. As the months went by and several doctors most labs reports came back negative for bacteria thus doctors didn't know what it was although it had the symptomatology of a uti. I eventually was given the diagnosis of Interstitial cystitis and went through the minefield of treatment for that with no success and much pain. Years later I " cured " the infection with alternative therapy in ten minutes. I am wondering if your bladder situation could also be a case of existing bladder infection and you have not correctly been identified by a competent lab. Your operation is a great step towards another road that you may not come back from and in the long run will allow the bacteria to spread beyond the bladder and do your systemic harm. I would urge you to get tested by a special lab. I know that charges about $75.00 ( I last heard) but they know they're stuff. Operations will always be there but wouldn't you want to make sure you gave no bladder infection? My current bladder situation is one of urge incontinence as a result of long standing bladder infection but ecoli infection is gone. claire Carol OK boomersoonercriley wrote: > > Please remember me in your thoughts on this day I'm terrified to go > under for that long. Guest guest
Thank you for the information but the surgery is not just because of the infections. Do to the MS I have 0 bladder function. My bladder empties as soon as anything goes in. When they where doing all the testing they could not even get my bladder to fill up enough to finish the test. I've been on several different medications for this but nothing helps. I have been to 3 different Urology specialist and they all agree that this is my only option for staying dry.
