I am 5'-9 " and 240 lbs. as I am sure this makes a difference. Also I found a internet site which claimed that a 10 mg. dose per day was considered low. I don't know but all this info. is giving me a headache. Hi What matters is the dosage that relieves your pain, with the minimal amount of side affects. So, don't worry about the Internet, just stick with your doctor. Keeping a very brief pain journal is a good way to see just how well any medication is working for you. It is between your doctor, yourself, your pain tolerance, and lab levels to make sure no organs are damaged. Thanks for putting it speciifically, Kaylene, and none of can prescribe for others and should not but the main thing that is always considered is respiration suppression. I get to hear my dose is too high all the time when it is a timed tose and they tend to forget that it is over a twenty four hour period also.
