Guest guest
Hi Caitlin, Sometimes I think, if I had enough info, I could figure out what's wrong with someone else. I have had good luck with mysterious problems for my family, but not myself. What medication do you connect your symptoms with? I, too, use Albuterol inhalers and Advair for asthma. I was on a nebulizer when things were worse. I started having asthma in my 30's. This is also when I became allergic to aspirin and had surgery for nasal polyps. There is a medical triad that includes these three things and I may have that. My sinuses have been fine for a while now. I am allergic to aspirin and cannot take any NSAIDS either. This is why I am stuck with other meds for pain control. As far as correlations go, I know in Chinese medicine different things are supposed to have correlations, like skin and lungs. I know autoimmune problems can effect joints and lungs, but that leads me back to the beginning again. Thanks for the reminder about prednisone rebound and fibro. I did have a couple of bad days after a shopping excursion on Sunday...I could still be 'paying' for that. Am glad to know others use distraction. It's a good tool. I haven't been able to find any books I can get engrossed in. I do have Netflix and watch movies for fun on the weekends mostly. Music! I forget about music and how helpful it is. The Blowpops were great while they lasted, but I wouldn't rely on them because of the side effects. lol - sore mouth and purple tongue! I find this site to be the best 'distraction,' as it helps me take the focus off of only myself. Thank you, Caitlin, J. Now I'm wondering if there is a correlation between the joint swelling and lung capacity or something like that or maybe even the medication itself. It all started around the same time (joint+lung problems). I know I'm grasping here, but like you've I am just trying to make a connection. I use Advair and Albuteral inhalers. > You might be having some kind of rebound affects from the prednisone distraction part. Its about all we can do sometimes but it does work. > Take care and hang in there!
