Guest guest
Joe S. I would encourage you to seek immediate medical care as what you are suffering from could be angina/heart problems. What you described is all that many patients with severe cardiac problems feel......PLEASE seek urgent/emergent care especially if you are having the problem right now, if nothing else, please call and speak with your DR. I am not trying to alarm you, just strongly suggesting you seek medical care. I have routinely spoke with patients in the ICU who stated never had chest pain just a funny heavy feeling in my left arm/hand. Guest guest
Joe, Like you I have the zinger on the left arm with pain on the neck/shoulder and numbness into the left arm. I had a cervical MRI and picked up the results today. It shows to huge herniations on C4/5 and C 6/7 and they are impinging on the cord, so that is why I have the numbness. It sounds to me like you are going need an MRI my friend. That will be the one and only way to check and see what's happening, so call your Doc and try to get one as soon as you can. As far as Neurontin and Lyrica, I have taken them for nerve pain, and they don't work for me either, so I'll see what the Neurosurgeon is going to suggest when I see him on Tues. Take care and have that neck looked at. Millie Joe S. wrote: > Several weeks ago, I had a very bad zinger which originated where my left shoulder and neck come together. The pain from the zinger went down my left arm and into my left hand.

Millie, I have the same and I only have the numbness every so often and am thankful because my back and SI syndrome are enough for me. I took Topamax for nerve pain but if it is inflammation, they will usually do anti-inflammatory or cortisone injection. I just had a cortisone injection in the bursae in my rt hip, and of course I get inflammation every where around it. it takes about a week for me to overcome. I feel like there are always another thing that comes up when I get one taken care of. Good Luck Bennie
Guest guest
Hi. My name is and I'm a newbie as of 03/1/10, and I've been going through topics today getting acquainted with the discussions. I just saw Joe's post and thought I'd interject from my experience with the same particular issue (although I have many others)as mine was quite severe and getting worse by the day. I'm a regular in my chiropractor's office and over time, I was getting less and less relief. They offered a new therapy there called " Manipulation Under Anesthesia " . There are some sites online and even on YouTube explaining what it is and how/why it can work. For what you're going through Joe, at the time I tried it after trying everything else under the sun, THIS actually gave me some relief from the constant symptoms of which you are talking about, and it's been 6+ months since I did the series of MUAs and I'm still symptom free for this in particular. Now as far as being " cured " as so many people from the procedure, I wasn't one of them, but I think you might want to check into it and try it. Can't hurt, and it very well may give you the relief you are longing for. Good Luck! julie

Hi JJ We have a J in the group, so I will refer to you as JJ. Welcome to the group. I had no idea chiropractors can use anesthesia. Did you have it done? Chiropractors can be very useful in many situations. I'm sorry to see that you need us, be we are a great group, if I say so myself, so you've come to the right place.
