for fibro: Cymbalta, Savella and Lyrica. Cymbalta didn't work for me. Savella

had too many side effects and I never got close to the theraputic dosage.

Lyrica works for me. My pain doctor had me go from 150 mg 2x/day to 200 mg

3x/day. I've just titrated up to that dosage. I think it is going to be good

for me, but I only have a couple of days at that dosage to judge by.

I believe like you also that you have an auto immune disease with fibromylagia

and fibromylagia is one of those syndromes that does not usually act alone. you

have a immune disease system then the catalyst is the fibromyalgia; and the

flares are the spikes and changes in our health. American Autoimmune Related

Diseases Association has a good website with a list of disorder and does make a

note that is listed below.

NOTE Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue are listed, not because they are

autoimmune, but because many persons who suffer from them have associated

autoimmune disease(s)

, like you, I could not take Cymbalta and Lyrica and have not tried

Savella. I went back to Cymbalta as the Lyrica causes such weight gain and

swelling.

Well, I just took the 40 mg of Cymbalta and I was able to take it and am doing

well. I also take Restoril to Sleep as if I cannot sleep, my fibro flare kicks

in and the pain is really bad. I have learned the hard way. Maybe you can take

the lower dose of lyrica. the dosages you were taking about were pretty high.

My doctor thought 75 mg twice a day was good enough and the drug is accumulative

a build up in your body thus the swelling of the hands, feet, and the eyes to

cause blurred vision. I could not do it. Bennie

Beenie,

Thanks for the link. I'll check them out. Anything I can do to get some

control of my health back I'll do.

I've been on Lyrica for years. No side effects at all. I was at 150 2x/day. I

just went up the the maximum dosage of Lyrica. According to my doctor, 200 mg

3x/day is the limit. I think it's helping. I hope it's helping.

I am trying it again, I don't get the side effects until two months or so but I

did go back on it last week and it helps,I don't give up.

I just wish they could get the side effects of swelling out. Do you take pain

meds with it? I do. I agree I am trying the best I

can but sometimes it gets you down and I appreciate the encouragement.

You know where I live, Austin, there are specialist for fibromyalagia, haven't

gone to them before, I stay with my pain management

doctor.
