Carol, Is there any physical therapy type, pelvic floor exercise program, that helps this. I would ask about this as I know with other situations, bladder and uterine surgery there are type of exercise programs that help. I typed in Ileovesicotomy recovery and there are articles that state some meds help along with some pelvic floor exercises but the articles state that leaving the urethra open is common so you might want to research it more. It couldn't hurt to ask. Bennie
Guest guest
Thank you so much Bennie, I'm taking Oxybutynin which helps keep the bladder from having spasms. My Physical Therapist and I have tried pelvic exercises before but my problem is there is just no feeling there. I don't have urges to urinate so I don't know until I have already went that I needed to go. I know sounds crazy right? MS can do some crazy things to a persons body. I will be talking to my surgeon about it in 3 weeks. Thanks for the advice. Hugs, Carol (OK)
