Guest guest
Hi Anne I read your response and I have to say, knowing and understanding the amount of work and commitment involved to get a child with aspergers and or autisim to appear just as any other child, I have to praise You and your family for the work done and following the lead given by your therapy team. I was once an child therapist working with mainly autistic but also other special needs children. But as things got worse I had to stop since I found myself having to cancel appointment to families and when working with a child in therapy it got more painful. I knew these children deserved someone who coould keep consitent and as time went on I knew I would not be able to. I have a question. You mentioned the medication Lunesta. Are you able, if needed to wake and funtion while on it? My concerns with sleep medications is if my child needs me in the middle of the night and I'm out of it non funtioning. Also how fast does it cause you to sleep. I've tried trazadone but hated the feeling it gave me as I was forced asleep. Not to mention after a few hours I was wide awake agin, but that feeling before hand I hated so I ceased using them after a few tries. I'm sorry to hear how you have been mistreated by the neurosurgeon casuing you more issues then youu had to begin with. It's that reason and the fact I have a friend who now lives in a chair after his surgery, that I won' let anyone near my back. Pain or no pain. I figure until the day they can give me a 100 percent garentee that it won't be worse and everything will be fine, then nope. Thanks lyn
