Guest guest
Hello all, I know I haven't posted in a while but I'm your number 1 lurker. I never miss a message it's just been to painful for me to type. I'm having surgery on February 15th for a very leaky bladder. Because of the MS I have lost all control of my bladder. For the life of me I cannot remember the name of the surgery, but once I explain it, I'm sure some of you will know what it's called. He will be taking a section of my small intestine and attaching it to the bladder which will act like a chimney that will attach to a bag on my lower side. This is at least a 6 hour surgery with a minimum of 7 days in the hospital. I'm having it done at the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Please remember me in your thoughts on this day I'm terrified to go under for that long. My family will all be there for the surgery but then will have to leave do to the fact that we live 3 1/2 hours away from OKC. My husband's health will not allow him to stay the whole time and my children have families of their own, plus they have to work. I'm praying that this will cure the number of infections and problems I have from wearing a catheter for over a year. I've had continuous UTI's, bladder, and kidney infections for 7 months straight and if I don't get something done I could get kidney damage.
