Guest guest
Hello, I am new here but not new to chronic or intractable pain. I had a 3 level/360 fusion from L2 to L5 on Nov.of 07 that failed miserably. I've had 4 Laminectomies after that to fix what the fusion did to me. The cadaver bone that was put on my fusion was not used correctly by my surgeon, so its started to chip away and I even have one level that has not fuse at all...... So I live with pain 24/7. I have been very lucky when it comes to pain management. I have an excellent Doctor from the University of Miami that treats my humanly and treats my pain well. I am currently on 80 Mg's of Methadone with Dilaudid 4 Mg's for break through pain. I used to be a social worker before all of this happened. Due to all of the issues I lost my house, my job and my financial security. I am on Social Security Disability and dealing with all that comes with it. I live alone with my dog Malcolm, so sometimes I wish that I had someone with me to help me with the things that I can not do, but what can I do???? I had a spinal cord stimulator installed in June of 08 that has helped me with my radiculopathy on both legs, but the mechanical pain I take care of with my meds. Well, that is me in a nut-shell, I hope to get to meet most of you, and if I can be of help just let me know. Take care, Millie
