Someone on our group has a virus on his/her computer. It is copying

addresses from the address book and sending out bogus email.

Please everyone UPDATE and RUN your anti virus software!

If, heaven forbid, you do not have an anti virus program on your

computer, you can get one free from:

The virus is not in group email. Some of us are receiving private email

that has obviously come from a hijacked personal address book.

Please folks, even if you think it couldn't happen to you, it can.

UPDATE and RUN your anti virus programs! Running a good anti spy ware

program would be a good think too.

If you don't know about anti virus programs, let us know and we'll help

you through the process.

The infected messages are NOT coming from this message board. Since we

DO NOT allow attachments in this group, viruses cannot be transmitted

via the group's email.

Somebody has an infection on his/her computer. It is harvesting email

addresses from that person's computer address book and sending out email

links to disreputable sites. Whoever has the virus, has quite a few of

our addresses in his/her address book.

There is no way for us to know who actually has an infected machine.

The email posts look like they are coming from this person or that

person, when in reality, their names are showing up, simply because they

are in the address book of the person(s) with the infected machine.

The person(s) with the infected machine(s) may very well be set to no

mail. If they aren't reading via the website, they won't even know

they're causing problems.
