Guest guest Posted December 18, 2008 Report Share Posted December 18, 2008 Hello, Unfortunately, I have impetigo in my nose. Its disgusting and the cream really burns and itches when I use it. Luckily I have no outbreaks on my face, they could get ugly. My Dr. told me very little about it and I wasn't too happy with his response. I've been have mid/lower back pain since this started and I found it can affect the kidney's. I feel he should have done a urine sample to at least out rule the possibility. So frustrating. Be so careful, if you touch your nose, then anywhere else, as it spreads easily, i hope you get okay and usually they give antibiotics. Have you checked your daughter for sores anywhere on her? You may even have picked it up from one of her friends. Kids often don't pay much attention to such things. School kids are notorious for spreading impetigo and every other thing that goes around. Fortunately, the cream heals it quickly. I'm going to get my urine checked for kidney problems since that is the area of my back that has been hurting so badly lately. I checked up and down for sores and she has nothing. I Lysoled and changed all bed sheets and everything. My Dr. said nothing about it being contagious and that just really gets me. I'm wondering if the cream is suppose to burn as bad as it has been?
