Guest guest
I take low doses of tizanidine and don't have that problem really. It is a side effect of many medicines so I'd look it up if that is one for this medicine. It also may be made cumulatively worse by a combination of meds. medusa > I have had to take higher doses than usual my usual Tizanidine dose and I have been experiencing extreme dry mouth. Jade, There are brands of mouth wash in the pharmacy isle for this. Watch tizadine, I take a low dose also but my doctor said I could take two and I was talking to the TV characters but knew why. I guess I am saying we somtimes don't see how we act on these medications. Halls has something called " Refresh " Bennie

I have tried lozenges of different types, candy, water, sipping drinks, but nothing is lasting more than the time that it is literally in my mouth, the very next moment, extreme dry mouth. > Jade - Look for Biotene brand products at your drugstore, in the toothpaste aisle. They make toothpaste and mouthwash to help with dry mouth, but what you really need is one of their gels or sprays. They have both a gel and a liquid/spray that lasts much longer than a lozenge. Try them both and see which lasts longest for you. Cheryl in AZ Moderator
Guest guest
I have taken it at night for years without a problem. I'm trying to ween off of them because they used to really help me sleep so it was double duty (muscle relaxer, sleep aid) but it no longer has that affect, I think because it is so short acting and I took it for so long. I never took it during the day or I would have been very tired. Other ones (Flexeril mostly) used to make me feel hung over and mean the next day but now it seems that Soma is working really well for me for muscles and sleep. I've noticed some irritability from weening but I have taken it for 15+ years. I figure if the Soma stops working for me, I can go back to the Zanaflex. Good luck, Caitlin Also, is anyone else taking Tizanidine (brandnames Zanaflex, Sirdalud) ? If so, what is your experience with the drug? Thank you in advance.
