Guest guest
>Turned out she was having hundreds of tiny seizures a day! If she hadn't kept fighting (at my urging) to get a doctor to pay attention to her and take her symptoms seriously, she could have DIED. Cheryl in AZ Moderator I have that, and it's called pseudo seizures, where the tiny seizures cause thousands of muscle spasms, increasing the body's cortisol output, causing stinging, burning pain, and it is a type of neuropathy. I found this little bit of info when I researched Neuropathy. My mother had petit mal and her brother had grand mal epilepsy. I don't know if there is a connection by heredity. Gabapentin is one of those medications that makes other medications work better, in the field of chronic pain. I have not found it to do much good by itself, and that is why it seems to be the only medication that all my recent doctors have agreed upon. Strange, how so many different opinions from different specialists can agree about an off-label medication, isn't it? Also, the addition of Duloxetine has helped immensely. I have stopped praying for death every night. Bonnadel
