Guest guest
Hey, I'm not the original poster, but I could have been...sounded just like my son. He would get on the bus in the AM as nice as could be, and then I would hear that the bus driver wants to put him in a " restraint " ...he would get " stars " most of the day and then at random times (never the same times), he would have " rages " .. the teacher could not put any antecedent to it. Now, I shouldn't get my hopes up too quickly, but after reading this post, I added a B-50 vit (1/2 last night, 1/2 this morning) and licorice root (last night & this AM) and he had the best day he has had in a long time...the bus driver couldn't stop talking about how " awesome " he was...(!) I am really wondering how much of this has to do with his being on such a strict GF(CFYF.....) diet and is missing out on a lot of micronutients that he might normally be getting, especially Vit B's. (??) I was wondering if anyone else out there has tested positive for Pyroluria. When I received my son's tests back from Pfeiffer, he showed very high levels of kryptopyrrole (KP) which indicates pyroluria. Anyway, I guess the KP is excreted fine but takes B6 and zinc with it causing B6 and zinc deficiencies. The symptoms are: mood swings, anxiety, nervousness poor stress control... (sound familiar?) I would be interested in any comments, but it looks like I might've underestimated the power of the almighty B vitamins...
