In my personal experience, I find that when I take GABA or Melatonin I find that

I can get the sleep that I need. Both are natural substances that already occur

in the body, so I don't have to worry about side effects with my meds.

With the Melatonin, I take 3mg at night, and it relaxes me and I get a good

solid rest. It seems to be better if I have at least 6 hours to sleep when I

take the Melatonin.

When I take the GABA which is an amino acid, I find that I am really relaxed,

and I sleep restfully and peacefully. GABA is very calming. I take 500mg at

bedtime. An added benefit is that GABA helps with metabolizing food better. So,

I find that I have more energy and feel better when I'm awake. Pain meds tend

to make me lethargic and lazy. So, the energy the GABA promotes is more than

welcome.

While I have taken both at the same time, so I'd assume they are safe to do so,

I would not suggest taking both at the same because it would give a very heavy

sleep, and I don't know about anyone else, but if I sleep too hard, I end up

with a headache when I get up.

I do like and need rest, so I often take one or the other (and sometimes both),

but I don't like when I sleep too heavy. The rest is good, the waking up is

harsh.

Has anyone else ever tried these natural supplements?

Take care,

Jade
