Guest guest
Dear Group, I have a contract with my doctor. I do not hoard pain pills. I wish my doctor had a contract with me: to get a prescription to me when I call and say I am out of meds. It is Sunday going on Monday. I have been rationing my oxycodone and just took the last 1/2. I called on Friday and the clinic did not get back to me. I found some relief from pain by pressing a serrated knife against my skin, not trying to break the skin but just a different sensation. I was able to stop rocking and crying and breathe. However, the pressure will probably cause angioedemas, and to tell the truth, now those little scratches hurt. My doctor prescibes morphine extended release for pain, but it never lasts more than four or five hours when it is supposed to last eight. Therefore I rely on my breakthrough medication, oxycodone. My insurance won't cover the medication she would like to prescribe. Oh, oh ow. Send me a prayer backwards in time if you will, when you read this. J. I do not encourage over the conter medications but I would ask your pharmacist if you can take another medication to assist or your doctor. I take an anti depressant that helps pain and a sleeping pill, Resteriol and it helps intervene in a pain cycle. You should be able to get your medications five to seven days before your medications run out rather than running out on the weekends. Fridays are the worst days for doctors clinics You should do a pain diary and find a multi modal program that covers your pain syndrome.
