Guest guest
Hi guys, As some of you know, I am home in Alabama now after having hemiresurfacing on the left June15th and full resurfacing on the right the twentieth of June....both done during the same hospital stay. Done by Dr. Mont in Baltimore. I found the staff to be great...but as many of you have posted it really helps having someone there to help you especially at night. My DH went with me and she stayed most nights but we also had her a place at the Raddisson which was only two miles away and offered shuttles. This allowed her to spend some nights there and time to get away from me and chill out from time to time. No matter how good the relationship.....it is stressful! Now here is the reason for my post....suppose there is someone out there that is planning to have this surgery and for some reason or another....going by themselves. I have an idea....I work in the medical field ...and have seen this. How about hiring a sitter...say from seven PM to Seven Am. I bet the hospital could give you names on people that do this and I would think their rates would be reasonable. I have found these people to usually be retired nurses.....nursing students or just caring people. Something to think about? Tim
