As a veteran dieter i can honestly say that it happens to me also. Your 8 kilos to loose probably will be different to my 25kg (yuk) but mine is coming off slowly. One thing that i noticed from my earlier amazing 56kg weight loss when i was younger (took about 2 years to do it)was that the solid fat gets dehydrated, as fat is mostly water. Its quite funny cus rather than being solid, it kinda goes all wobbly ..., this is a sure sign that you are dehydrating the fat cells. What may be happening is that as you are dehydrating the cells, you are building muscle mass by the exercises you are doing. Not just in the thigh area, but also the lower back also... this, although a slow process, could make the weight loss marginal. When i was on my major focussed, almost fenatical health stint, i was dieting hard, riding a bicycle all over Amsterdam, doing Cardio Vascular during my lunch break 5 days a week (i worked in an office above a gym..lol) and then spending 1.5 - 2 hours, 3nights a week pumping weights etc. I went from 136 kilos to 81 kilos in 2 years. I went from a lard looking 52 inch waist and 64 inch chest (with boobs thrown in) . to a 34 inch waist, and a solid 50 inch chest...hehe I was not loosing so much weight, but my clothes were getting big for me by the week.... i even took up tailoring cus i couldn't afford to keep up with buying smaller clothes every 2 months.... i used to taper my trousers and shirts...lol... i can now stitch for England at the next olympics! lol The interesting thing was that after loosing all this, i lokked ripped on my chest and arms, had great abbs, but around my tummy area i had a podge that i could never shift... The dietician said that i had dehydrated all the fat, but the cells left behind would nevetr leave.... so fenatical was i that i even considered getting these cells liposucked out, cus other than that, i was looking pretty mean!! I should have, cus just after i went to work in Thailand doing SCUBA, i figured that all that hot weather, fresh fruit, seafood and sweating would burn it off...... NOT!!! What i didn't enter in to the equation was that it was cheaper to eat 3 squares a day in a restaurant, than it was to go down the market and buy the food and make it yourself.... also that Thailand has some of the finest delacasies known to man kind, coupled with the beaches, the lefargic heat etc etc , i came back to europe a year later at 100kg...lol Makes me sick to think about it..hehe Anyway, keep at it, cus as you know i am now dieting again, loosing slowly, and i am now getting a lot of support from my woman, especially since she saw a friends wedding pictures from the RIPPED period, and saw me with this ' v ' shaped chest and abbs...lol......ghehe-....
