Guest guest
Note: I am not giving out any medical advice here, and if you are going to use any of this email, I suggest that you do some intensive research before trying any herbs, etc. I have had to deal with either low and insufficient medication and wrongly prescribed medication in the past, which I agree is not the same as not having access to a doctor or meds. However, my best suggestion is to possibly find a natural or herbal remedy, whether temporary and until you can get the appropriate medication or find adequate medical care, or something more permanent as a backup for current medication or for flares. When I was in the situation above with a lack of proper meds, I looked online on every herbal website for natural remedies or herbs that were used for pain at any given time, by any group of people, throughout history. I did find some herbs that were used for pain in history, similarly to how narcotics are used today. And, if you think about it, most of the medications we use today had some plant or natural product history to it, and somehow we are synthetically mimic-ing recreating (I'm not sure I phrased that correctly, but I think you know what I mean). Here are a couple links I came up with when I googled on " herbal pain relief " http://www.buzzle.com/articles/herbal-pain-relief.html http://psychoactiveherbs.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=118 http://health.howstuffworks.com/wild-yam-herbal-remedies.htm REMEMBER if you taking medication or are under a doctor's care and you plan to take any type of herbs or vitamins be SURE to check with your doctor first. Also, since everyone reacts differently to herbs and supplements, there really isn't any way to tell if any of these herbs would work for you or not. I can say, though, that I had tried a few, and they actually worked for me. No, they were not as strong as some of the narcotics I have been on, but one wonderful thing about the time I was on the herbal supplements is that I did not have any of the foul side effects that I did from some of the opiods and narcotics. Good luck on your supplement and herbal hunting. If anything proves useful, or if you come up with any really interesting information, please share. I have done my own research in the past, but I am always looking for new info. Take care, Jade
