Lois,

What a thoughtful and insightful post. I hear from people barely

older than *I* am (32) that they are not as interested in physical

intimacy as they were. I consider that kind of sad. I'm sad when

anyone doesn't have a partner is SOME way, even if it's merely sexual.

We all need to be touched, physically or emotionally, frequently. It

sounds as if, whether intercourse is involved or not, you and your

husband are able to maintain a strong emotional connection.

Congratulations on such a successful (and apparently happy) marriage!

It's rare enough to see happy marriages that last short periods, let

alone long-lasting ones that involve the expression of love in any way.
