Guest guest
Hi Kaylene and thanks for the welcome. In my chiropractor's clinic, there is an osteopathic surgeon as well, and the two of them together do the procedure. Sorry, I wasn't more specific about that. I am sure this affects everyone a little bit differently, and the anesthesia and the cortisone shots were the roughest for me - not that I wouldn't do it again if I needed to - no pain no gain. lol I'm hypersensitive to most medications and I've pretty much sworn off cortisone shots. I did go to the pain specialist and have cortisone shots in my spine for my cervical/arm issues, and again, I was the one who wasn't positively affected by it, but I sure as heck felt WORSE for a week after each one. That cortisone - yuck. It's just individual dependent as what you will or won't get out of the procedures. Again, I say that if I were at that point again with that pain, numbness, tingling, and lack of sleep, I'd go through the MUAs again regardless. At least I got that resolved, and I'm very grateful for it. I would like to try acupuncture, but it's not covered by my insurance and it's too expensive for me to pay for on my own. I'd pretty much try anything (legitimate) to get relief when I'm at my worst. I did try trigger point massage one time, and I felt like someone had poked me hard/bruised me in each of the areas. Craziest thing! That, I won't be doing again Thanks again, julie j in PA aka jj in PA Slave to the Slobber,
