I also had shakes and a fever, my dogs just sit up and looked over me. >A week later, I went to the doctor and she said it lasts for up to three weeks and I had full blown bronchitis from it. Hi Bennie My husband brought the respiratory flu home last week. I really pushed fluids, Popsicles, etc. so I was over it in about 5 days. It's been a long time since I have had a fever, sweats, congestion, vicious headache, etc. NyQuil, Ibuprofen, Sudafed, and Claritin helped manage the side affects. I also used a normal saline solution to rinse my nares + sinuses. This was one of the few times I am glad I don't have a job. No fuss about calling in sick. Nurses were supposed to come to work if we were sick or not. How is that for ridiculous? I hope you are feeling better now. It has taken my husband about 10 days to get over it. Ain't life grand? ha ha Kaylene
