Guest guest
Did they xray your chest? Sounds like maybe pneumonia. Which is definitely an emergency. Carolyn Eddy " Sweet Goat Mama "
Guest guest
I have had pneumonia several times and I think it is time for you to go to the ER! You should be better if you only have 2 days of antibiotics left. The sleepiness is a sure sign of pneumonia. Your body is not getting enough oxygen. Get into the hospital hon! Keep us posted! Guest guest
Speaking as a former EMT, any one with chest pain, shortness of breath, altered conciousness should be taken to the ER for evaluation. It is better to be safe. Donna Marie wrote: > The first one is what qualifies as a Medical Emergency? > also I can feel that my chest is wheezing. Guest guest
First of all not being able to breathe is a medical emergency. Second the 8 pound oreck vaccume It's lightweight & has heppah filter system I use mine without too many problems .They have now come up with a 6 pound one now. Guest guest
Not a priority?!?! Since when is not being able to breath not a priority?! After getting help I would call who ever is in charge and tell them what you were told. That not being a priority is a bunch of bull. I can't believe it. Blessed be, Ms.Katurah >Marie Griffiths wrote: >i have but the problem is doing nothing but get worst, I have again phoned 999 and told them and they said they could hear my chest from there but they do not think it requires an ambulance to take me to A & E if i can drive myself in AHHHHH was my response. Guest guest
I would pursue a complaint. We were not allowed to deny an ambulance request, even when it did not appear to be an emergency. The dispatcher is not medically trained and therefore can not make that decision that you are not in need of an ambulance. I have never heard of a situation where they fail to dispatch emergency crew. It is inexcusable and seriously needs to be pursued further before someone dies. >Marie Griffiths wrote: > i have but the problem is doing nothing but get worst, I have again phoned 999 and told them and they said they could hear my chest from there but they do not think it requires an ambulance to take me to A & E if i can drive myself in AHHHHH was my response. Guest guest
Hi, Unfortunately it has happened yet again. I was in so much pain 2 nights ago, i phoned for a ambulance and the operator said I did not need one its not a medical problem!!!!!, also my peakflow was only 150. so i phoned 999 again and asked for fire service and told a white lie and then the chief commanding officer phoned me and asked where I live as I am not on the GPS system they are using. I told him, Unknown to me my cousin was working and he works for South wales fire and rescue and I told him where i was in the house. He told me not to move so he can come straight in, He asked me where was the fire. I said FIRE? what fire? and he said the fire you told dispatch. I then said the only fire here is in my stomach I can not move or walk do anything. He came in as they are trained in CPR and basic medical examination he phone the ambulance and got told the same thing as me so i ended up having a ride in a fire engine. I do things in style I arrive at a & e where i was told i have a rageing infection which has caused a lot of the pain and problems of my breathing. they called my PM dr who was upset and shocked to see me in so much pain. He put me on a strong painkiller and I got sent home yesterday on antibiotics for 8 weeks and told to rest. In future I am to call my cousin straight away and not go through dispatch. Based on what they found at A & E, if you lived in USA (Calif), you would have attorneys lined up at your door to take your case. Here you had an infection and were in a boat load of pain, and you were transported on a Fire Truck. You are lucky to have connections in the business. Wink. I'm glad you finally got the care you needed. Hope you feel better soon. Jade
