Guest guest
Hi Mist, I had a 3 level/360 fusion from L2 t L5 and it definetely took me a year to at least feel some kind of progress with my back. My surgery failed so I've had 4 more surgeries since that first one, so I am not a normal case, but even my first surgeon told me that a 3 level fusion takes about a full year to recover from, so that is something that you need to get ready for. Good luck to you! Guest guest
Thank you Tipper; I knew that I probably would be facing a long recovery as I heal horribly slow in the first place. I also suffer from osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, RSD, DDD, and depression. I'm scared but I really have no other options the injections they did to figure out how high up they had to go on me for the surgery didn't even hold one week. Ive had to go back on kadian again along with duragesic patch and it still doesn't stop the pain. I am so tired of hurting. Sometimes I ask myself what did I ever do to deserve living in this much pain long term. I am assuming since my disability review is going to be in January that this will also be another issue they will have to reflect on. My doctor told me not to worry about it as he did not see me ever recovering from the pain issues I have. I also did some research and found that anyone who's review is 4 years apart of longer the disability offices figure they won't improve. Huge sigh.... I would give just about anything to be like I was 11 years ago. Thankyou for your reply I hope others will post to this situation as well.
