Guest guest Posted May 27, 2010 Report Share Posted May 27, 2010 I was wondering if it would be helpful for us as pain sufferers to make a list of things we'd like for people to say to us to make us feel more heard or understood? I was thinking that this list could serve as a kind of cheat-sheet that we can hand out to all those around us so that rather than them coming up with some out-of-the-box, hurtful, or otherwise useless comment, maybe they could look at the list and select a more appropriate response. Any ideas? What would you like to hear? And, is it good enough to have one list for all, or is the list different depending on who is saying it?
