If this has been happening for a couple of days, I would suggest calling your doctor. He/she may want to adjust your meds. Let us know what your doctor tells you. hugs Eunice

Guest guest
Well, I never--or almost never--eat store bread. Re: New Here > If you must eat bread, eat whole wheat and rye. > Becareful here as well, some whole wheat breads will contain more sugar per slice then the all famous white Wonder bread. Some companies will use brown sugar or molasses to help with the bread's overall color so watch out.
Guest guest
Buy Sugar Free Whole Wheat or Low carb Whole Wheat Bread only. Helen Re: New Here > If you must eat bread, eat whole wheat and rye. > Becareful here as well, some whole wheat breads will contain more sugar per slice then the all famous white Wonder bread. Some companies will use brown sugar or molasses to help with the bread's overall color so watch out. Simply put read the labels and check the serving sizes. Companies play with serving size in the hopes of looking healthy. You will see that some breads post a 2 slice serving size where others only post a 1 slice serving size. This is where poeple get caught off guard. Guest guest
Bobbi: Welcome and glad you found us but sorry for the reason. It is a wonderful group of people who are in all stages of PSC. The experience of this combination of people will help you understand. I am the wife of a PSCer that was diagnosed '99, right after the famed Walter Payton death. Yikes....sent us into a tailspin and now with this groups' help it is tolerable. If you want to tell us more about yourselves it will help us to bond a little. As for us, we are in our early 60's, Bob was diagnosed UC early in our marriage, had an ileo. 4 yrs. into marriage, and diagnosed PSC as I said '99. He takes urso and we make a concentrated effort to eat healthy foods, exercise and address medical issues as they arise (Live in the here and now). We have people who have lived with this insidious disease 30 yrs. and an increase of recently diagnosed PSCers. The GOOD NEWS is more people are becoming aware of this disease and the advancement in medical knowledge and research can only surely help manage PSC. We are seeing a increase in living donor transplants; when I first joined this group it wasn't as common as it seems to be now. That could be because of the information age we live in. Lucky for your partner that you are here and care. Dee in Peoria, wife of Bob 60, uc, ileo, psc
Guest guest
Hi Bev, I too have neuropathy. I had back surgery in '05; a microdiscectomy at L2/L3 and got nerve damage from that and I am having pretty bad excruciating pain from it. I am on neurontin, zanaflex and oxycontin with percocet for break thru and the meds dont help very much. I am also having numbness, burning pain in my neck, arms and hands from cervical disc problems. Are you a nurse? I am assuming you are from your email addy, well I am too. Well I should say I was. I am now on disability. I worked as a l & d nurse for 24 yrs. I recently went on disability so I am pretty sad about the pain as well as the loss of my work. I really enjoyed my work and now I feel pretty worthless without it. Welcome to the group. I look forward to having you to talk to as well as others from this group. It helps having others with the same difficulties to talk to because they really do understand what you're going through. Donna
