Guest guest
Mist: Any time you have Redness or swelling, get your self to the ER or Doctor. You should have received dismissal instructions and they always say contact the Doctor immediately if there is redness, swelling, or temperature ! You do not want to take any steps backwards after doing surgery, so taking instructions like not lifting and reporting any differences seriously is imperative to recovery. Please let us know what they found and this group will get on you to go to the doctor because they care. Get thee to a doctor. Good Luck and let us know. Guest guest
I've talked to my mother in law who is a nurse and has been for over 60 years and its slowly reducing. The right side was the side I had the most pain in prior to them fusing my back. I get infections easy they had me on vacomyacin the entire time I was in the hospital. I also run a horrible fever if I get any type of infection whether it be bacterial, or viral. I am going to keep an eye on it, I think its simply a group of muscles that are in a solid massive group and are spasming. They did xrays immediately after they did the surgery in fact I have copies of them if anyone would like to see them, so I know there's no foreign matter in my back. If I start to run a fever or it gets worse trust me I'll go in and be seen. My regular physician is going out of town and I won't be able to get into him until the 2nd or next month grrrr. And my surgeon had some kind of situation come up and they moved my appointment way back until much later in the month. My incision looks really good its almost healed. I truely appreciate everyone's concern. Sincerely, Mist Kaylene wrote: > Please, please get yourself to the ER like Lyndi said. Mist, Please also worry about this causing increased scarring, I am not a Doctor but know this is not normal and am glad it is reducing but the staff stays at the Doctors office and it would be good to give them a call so they can give you some instructions. Maybe some simple exercises or physical therapy that will get you out of spasm might be recommended. Good Luck but I still would give the Nurse a call at your Doctors' office. I have only been in the Medical field thirty five years but know that checking in with your Doctor's office can't hurt. Mean no harm to you with suggestions. Good Luck Bennie
Guest guest
I still think you should have a nurse or doctor take a look at it. That's just my opinion. What could it hurt?
