Guest guest
Hi Tammy, I relate with your early diagnosis and back pain. I also have osteoarthritis and a lot of shoulder pain that actually originates from my neck which is also plagued with bone spurs and degenerative/ruptured discs that are pressing on nerves. I finally found a wonderful pain management doctor yesterday after all these years. I'm 54 and my pain began in my late teens with my lower back and neck due to horse riding accidents and lifting too much. Jennette >Tammy Lillico-Sims wrote: >Hi, my name is Tammy. I am now in my 40's and am looking for others who can identify with me and me with them.
Guest guest
Hi, Tammy. I am glad you are here. Not because of pain, but because you decided to not suffer alone any more. I have lower back pain from a bulging disc. I have a pinched sciatic nerve because of inflammation from arthritis. I have a ruptured disc and bulging discs in my neck, with arthritis growth in the vertebral canals on both sides of my neck. I have problems with my hands arms and shoulders because of the inflammation and nerve impingement. I have neuropathy now, because the doctors I saw at the onset of pain didn't take me or my pain seriously. I have suffered alone for almost 20 years. My ex husband made fun of me in front of our 2 kids, and my current husband was sympathetic, but tends to be indifferent toward me after spending time with his own kids. They are recreational drug users, and have been trying to convince him that I am a hypocrite. He wasn't very supportive about me taking pain medications all the time, either, until an MRI and a compassionate pain specialist came through for me. I insisted that husband go with me to a neurologist for a second opinion, who explained the problem in detail about my neck, with my husband present. Yay for me! I am not a hypochondriac! My husband still forgets why it is that I have so much pain, and why the medications don't cure me, or make me feel high, like pain medications do to him and his kids. I hope you will also find some compassion, with your kids, and with a pain specialist, for better medical treatment. This group helped me.
