Dear Vicki,

Congratulations on your success so far.... (my daughter, age 17, who

had the surgery 6-1-99) is now taking Ambien for her sleep apnea and chronic

fatigue...it seems to really help and not leave her all " draggy " the next

day.

Why does Tylenol PM lead to elevated Liver enzymes? What is the problem

with elevated liver enzymes...what symptoms does it cause and how do you

" fix " it?

Pam,

Thanks for your " update " letter...very encouraging! Someday when I feel

better I'll comment on the stuff about obesity and work. :-)

I think Tylenol PM raises liver enzymes because of the

acetomeniphen(sp?) in it....not sure though.

Pam, It is my understanding that because of the type of surgery we had that

we bypass the liver which is where tylenol is metabolized. Dr R explains it

much better and made it clear to me that for the rest of my life I should

not use anything with tylenol in it. Also, it is important that we not

drink alcoholic beverages ......ever socially due to this predisposition to

elevated liver enzymes. Vicki
