Just an example of someone else talking about a meeting they attended

recently.

Originally Mikena@...

Notwithstanding the serious nature of this discussion. I think even

at my darkest moments, I have always been sustained by some of the

things people say off the record in AA.

From an overheared conversation at a local meeting:

" Why don't you volunteer to take over from me as GSR?

You don't have to do much and it's very high profile! "

I would like to express my regrets for my posting. It was an attempt

at irony - something that is usually lost on BBs! Given the climate

of discussion and the sensitivity of issues my posting was certainly

ambigious and probably innapropriate - For that I apologise.

I don't know (Mike) what is to be implied from your (third person)

reference to my posting. For what it's worth, I do find that vaguely

unsettling. I made no active secret of my continued attendence at AA

meetings and indeed for my own reasons. I'm now looking seriously at

alternatives particularly SMART ;-)

For now, I simply ask that my remarks be treated with an indulgence

appropriate to those of a newbie, who will continue to lurk for a

short while... then probably dissapear.

Thank You Everyone for your collective insight.
