Guest guest
One of the PA-C's at the pain management clinic I visit monthly prescribed Tramadol on my last visit ( replacing 5mg of Oxycodone ). BIG mistake. I did not do well on the Tramadol. I see my psychiatrist for depression once a month and as it happened, I saw him earlier this past week and told him that I wasn't sleeping well, had frequent headaches and just didn't feel right, all I believed because of the Tramadol switch. He told me to get into see someone at the pain clinic and tell them of my problems. I managed to see one of the other PA-C's I've been examined by in the past yesterday. He was attentive, ask relevant pertinent questions about everything going on with me, ask me about my depression and actually asked me what I thought would work the best for me without any reservations or negative remarks. I told him and he wrote a prescription for it and I was out the door and on my way in 30 min. I'm so glad I took the advice of my psychiatrist because I feel better already. I'm back to feeling energetic, pain level is low and most of all I have a positive outlook. I can't describe how much better I feel and how relieved I am that two medical practitioners actually listened to me and gave me what I knew would help me. Granted, it's taken me years ( over 7 since the first car accident ) to find the right combination of doctor's, but the persistence has paid off. I share this with everyone here so that you can know there is hope for us, you just have to do whatever it takes to find the right people to help you.
