Guest guest
I forgot to say that the apple juice I drink 64 oz a day is made by me in my juicer. I don't know the calories or fiber I make all my juices. I am on a diet because of meds and pain I can't exercise for the sake of exercising. I am just able to walk after spending 18 months in a wheel chair. I went from weighing 125 pounds to 230 pounds. I now weigh 184pounds. I was type A personality. Now I am lucky to walk. I take 17 different pills just to cope with all of my problems. It It was 6 long years of going from Doc to doc trying to find one that would listen to me and do tests to find what was going on with my body.I was lucky and found one. I have been with him for 5 years now. He knows I am a Wiccan and use herbal treatments when needed. But unlike my Wiccan grandmother, I do go to doctors and I use the pills that will help when the herbs don't.I try to keep it under 1200 calories some days I do. Some days I don't because I don't feel like eating. I try to keep up with house work, thankfully I have a hubby and youngest son that help me. I keep my mind busy doing what crafts I can or I'll just think about everything that's going on right now and go crazy or get more depressed. I do know about chronic pain, depression, and weight problems. I also know about losing a child. A relative on his death bed (my father), a disabled child, a disabled husband, and a mother who just found out that she has a hole in her right kidney refuses to go back to her doctor because she is scared so she cancels all the appointments I make for her. You're not getting all that adding sugar that way at least, and it probably does have more fiber than bottled juice so you probably are seeing some benefit from it for the constipation. But prune juice still might work better with less intake - that's a lot of liquid to have to chug down in a day! I just didn't want anyone else thinking that commercial bottled apple juice would do anything for constipation. It has no fiber at all, and that's the key ingredient. It is what works for each person Ditto for when my son had an intestinal problem. The doctor recommended giving him fresh apple juice to help him stop going. Said it was a natural stopper upper.
