Guest guest
I've been dealing with chronic pain since the early 1990's. The problem is arthritic growth around an old cervical fusion at C6 and C7. Until recently, the pain occurred mainly around my neck, with occasional more-minor problems into my left shoulder and arm. Several weeks ago, I had a very bad zinger which originated where my left shoulder and neck come together. The pain from the zinger went down my left arm and into my left hand. Since then, my left hand and forearm get to feeling like they are " going to sleep " . It's not that sharp of a feeling but very distracting. I am left-handed so this new problem has gotten my attention. I take MSContin and oxycodone routinely for neck pain. However, these don't have much effect on the tingling in my left arm and hand. So I'm wondering if anyone in the group has had a problem like this and how can it be treated? While going through various neck pain treatment possibilities over the years, I have tried both Neurontin and Lyrica which I think can treat nerve problems. They never worked and had extreme side effects on me. Is there something else that might treat nerve pain? Thanks for your help. Joe S.
