Also, some labs have a slightly different normal range for each test. I have no idea why, they just do. What are your symptoms? I am not a doctor, just a retired registered nurse. It is very important for you to have a conversation with your doctor about tests and their results. This is a link from the National Institute of Health that explains C-Reactive Protein test. http://tinyurl.com/3wdau http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003356.htm Here is a link about the Sedimentation Rate-Westergren from medicine net.com http://tinyurl.com/2bcfwd5 Please make an appointment with your doctor and make sure she explains any test results in regular English, not medical jargon. Grab her by her hair, if she starts to leave before you understand. Kaylene
Guest guest
Hi Kaylene, My symptoms haven't changed: dizziness, severe aches throughout my whole body, itchiness in my nose and ears, along with irritation of my eyes all of the time, as if something is in my eyes. I also don't eat much but have gained a lot of weight and also my skin has a burning sensation. I also have fatigue all the time. When I get headache, the top of my head gets extremely hot and after I take pain medication it calms down a bit. I did talk to a doctor and he said I have inflamation in my body but he doesn't know what's causing it. I am looking for Infectious Disease Specialist but most of them won't give new patient appts for a few weeks. I won't give up hope. I'll keep fighting until some doctor or someone figures it out. Thanks, Kaylene wrote: > > What are your symptoms?
Guest guest
Hi : I wanted to give you a heads up on some of your symptoms. I have a couple of rare diseases that bring many of the same symptoms. The itchiness and dry eyes are horrid. Feels like you need to step out of your body. If you can look up Sojourns Syndrome. That is one of the things I have that causes all the above. I also have Dercums Disease and Lipedema. Both of those contribute to the aching all over and temperature changes, as well as unexplained weight gain. I am easier on myself since being diagnosed with these. There are some medications which help as well as lifestyle changes. I was hit like a ton of bricks with this the exhaustion came first, followed by the severe itching and dryness. Then came the lumps, temperature changes and weight gain. I hope you look these up and are able to dismiss them because they don't fit. They are awful and I wouldn't wish them on anyone. Guest guest
Seems a lot of what you are describing could be allergy related. Something put into your body, eaten or breathing in. Do you have a history of allergies? This could be a new allergy to something you've taken or been around without problems in the past. I know you will figure this out. Allergy causes inflammation. It doesn't necessarily have to be an infection when there's inflammation.
