Guest guest
Salli, I just forwarded you a few e-mails that pretty much sums things up right now.
Guest guest
> > i will ALWAYS be here. now where the hell have you been?!?!?!?! > I know that told you all that I was very busy and would be in touch. That's not exactly the truth. With Putter in school longer now and riding the bus too and Robbie back in school, I have been playing Neopets and Animal Crossing in an obsessive fashion that has led Enrique to question his assumptions about my NT-ness. But I am still NT. Even NT people can have their little obsessions. Salli

Hi Salli, ) I joined just as you were leaving for a bit, I think. At least, I think I saw a few posts by you when I first joined. But just in case I'm wrong (and that's entirely possible)... I'm Tina, married, mom to 10 (almost 11) autism, mental retardation, Sami 9 and as NT as any child can get, 7, seizures from birth but hasn't had any since 5 and was weaned off meds in May of this year. Behavior issues, learning delays, slight language delays. He's quite likely an aspie, but we're not sure yet. Testing starts next week. I work part-time as a mail carrier and as a writer, but I don't get paid for that...yet. Give me time. ;o) Tina
Guest guest
> > you have been playing video games NONSTOP for 2 months now?! yes, if i were enrique, i'd be concerned too > > Ha, ha, not really. There were a couple of contributing problems. First, my life has been perfectly horrid since sometime last summer. I have no money. We run out totally about ten days before my next check comes and we have nothing we can do about it. Two, I have been so discouraged by all of this that I think I was playing video games in my spare time to avoid thinking about it all. Three, I haven't felt well; I have had an upset stomach off and on for a couple of months. I am hoping that it isn't an ulcer, but I haven't been able to make myself do ANYTHING. Obviously depressed, I know, but that is how it has been. Three, Lou asked to move back in, an idea that so filled me with horror that I didn't answer the phone or call my mother or anything for about two weeks. Don't worry; he isn't moving back in. And, last of all, suddenly my inbox was filled with all this spam. I spent the past two weeks unsubscribing from everything in sight and finally it is a little bit better. I was getting HUNDREDS of messages a day. Oh, well, so that is where I have been. Salli

Guest guest
SALLI!!!!! I'm sorry to hear things have been so rough there. I hope Lou is employed and paying child support. Money has been awful here lately too... VERY glad to hear you did not let him move back in. The man must be insane. It is wonderful to hear from you. Oh in case you missed it - I'm due in May, and it might be twins. (Did I say that here yet?) Planning a home birth with the same midwifery center that delivered Gabe. One of the same midwives and one new one, and possibly an apprentice. Hope you stick around and chat. I have missed you, not to mention Putter Stories! -Sara. Guest guest
Hi Salli, People have publicly asked about you on the list while you were gone so I know you have been missed. It's nice to meet you. Your Putter sounds like some kid - everyone wants to hear about him! :-) I'm Karin with a 3 year old recently diagnosed with Autism. His name is Jake. I'm married and we live in Texas. Nice to meet you. ~ Karin Your family sounds like a handful, but lots of fun! bunnytiner wrote: > Geez. I have doubts about whether he will ever be employed again. > VERY glad to hear you did not let him move back in. The man must be insane. > Just clueless and AS. He told me he had had several chances to move in with girlfriends but it didn't seem right to move in with someone just so that you had a place to stay. Then he explained to me carefully that I should let him move in with me; that he didn't want to live with me either and that it would be hard for him too. This statement did not make me want him to move in any more than I had before (which was not at all). > It is wonderful to hear from you. > > Oh in case you missed it - I'm due in May, and it might be twins. WOW! When will you find out? Congratulations too! Oh, and I was very sorry to hear you have been feeling so ill. Hope you get better soon.
