Hi

I take tramadol and oxycodone. Sometimes they give me hot flashes. Tramadol

makes me a little hyper.

I also have been diagnoised with Bipolar depression/hypomania. I don't know if

that is some of the cause for the reaction. Also I used to get nausea in the

beginning with the codene. That eventually disappeared.

Nausea, headache, hyperactivity or tiredness are some of the side effects of a

ton of medications. Usually as a rule side effects will stop within 2 weeks of

starting a new medication.

If the side effects continue, it becomes a question of choosing between the

benifits and how much the side effects interfer with your daily activities. I

have stopped a few meds because the side effects were not worth it.

Hope you feel better soon. Hugs, Tami

This did happen to me.I told my Doc & he changed it to another type of pain

killer.

Tell your doc and he'll more than likely change it to another.

I am suddenly experiencing some bad side effects from my pain meds.

Nausea, headache, and they are making me agitated almost hyper when I take them

at night, so I am unable to sleep. I finally feel asleep at 8 am. I woke up at

5pm. I am still nauseas and in pain, but I am afraid to take my meds!

I have had this on and off. I have no idea what causes it, nor do I know what to

do about it. I would ask my doctor if it persists. I know I'm not much help, but

at least you can know you're not alone.

I feel for you, .

I have had this happen with almost every drug I've been on, from time to time.

It happens when I'm over tired, over worked, anxious, stressed, etc. And, on

top of one or more of those triggers, the nausea, headache, and hyper-ness are

even more annoying.

When that happens, I have to find my way out of it, which is not easy. I have

to focus on tuning out the world and all it's stressors, and at the same time

not tuning in to what's going on with my body. That's where my keep-busy crafts

and to-do lists keep me distracted.

Distraction can be a good thing, sometimes.
