Guest guest
Peggy here.. We all have bad days, that's a fact of this disease. Too bad we can't be on a even keel, but such is life. On those days and nights I read, and I paint, (watercolors, oils and acrylic) and draw, try to zone out in front of the TV, do yoga, have a cup of homemade hot chocolate made with Giradella chocolate. I also try and learn one thing new every year. Last year it was knitting, which I still do and this year I am learning Japanese and French. The BBC has free language, so that helps as well. I also volunteer. When I was in Illinois, we all were very active in the Humane Society as adoption counselors, and did a lot of the off site fund raisers. Since we have a kill shelter here, I don't volunteer, but do so at the Women's Abuse Shelter as a paralegal to the very overworked attorney. I find that when I give of myself my pain is lessened through sharing. I also work the crisis line there as well.
