Guest guest
I went to see a podiatrist yesterday. He seemed surprised when I told him I was dx'ed with CMT. He said I didn't have the muscle wasting in the calves as other patients of his does. My calves are fairly normal, in fact, my OB always comments on how large they are. My problem is in my thighs. I have very little strength and tone in my upper legs. I read some more on CMT and never saw mention of thigh weakness only calf wasting. Now I do realize this was a PODIATRIST and not a neuro. but it has got me thinking. I have many of the other problems everyone writes about...feet deform., balance, weakness in arms/hands and legs, but not the calf wasting. Does anyone have the same problem with their thighs or any ideas? I haven't gone back yet for my next neuro. visit or testing and my appointment isn't until Nov.1!Deb
