Guest guest
Debi, Just this year I had back problems and the Dr. said no gardening for a long time. An MRI revealed I have spinal stenosis (degeneration of the spinal canal) and a buldging disc. This stenosis can happen to anybody, same with the disc. It has just taken me longer to heal somewhat, although the stenosis is there. The physical therapy has been great. First some traction on warm pads, then gradually light movements in the pool, to where I can now keep up with others - in the pool that is. I also do certain leg and back exercises and stretches at home and am back on my street bike for 10 minutes a day. But that's a BIG improvement from last April when I begged the doc to operate or kill me to take the pain away. I have learned so much in PT this time around. I just still have one wierd muscle on my right hip that cramps and spasms and I wish it would cooperate with my other muscles! But I feel, and so does doc that it will just take TIME!
