Anyone have experience with Laser spine surgery?

After going through quite a few morphine based medications I find that I can't

take any except for Vicodin and I worry about so much Tylenol (5 a day). I was

thinking about looking into laser spine surgery. Has anyone tried that?

My best friend went to one of " the best " laser institutes here in Florida and

was thinking of having laser surgery, but things were not what they appeared to

be.

#1, her insurance company, and all insurance companies won't pay for this

surgery because is still considered experimental and it's not proven to work.

#2, If she was going to have surgery there she was going to have to pay cash, or

they will send you to one of their finance companies ($30,000.00). Then she did

some research on the Doctors at this place, and Dr.B* has several malpractice

law suits because of damage that was cause to patients that went through his

place, so my opinion on laser surgery is a BIG thumbs down!

You mention that you cannot take medications that contain Morphine. What about

Oxymorphone,(Opana) Hydromorphone,(Dilaudid)or Methadone? Have you tried any of

those? Those do not contain Morphine and they come in extended release

formulations that way you only have to take 2 a day. You need to check into

that.

Thanks for the info. I read a lot last night about laser surgeries in Florida

and came up with the same opinion as you.

I have not tried the drugs you mentioned and will as when I go next month.
