Guest guest
Called my Doc this morning. He told me that if I got worse then I am going to the hospital. He wanted me to go in this morning and I told him no. He gave me an inhaler and my own nebulizer. Hubby wasn't very happy with me but oh well. I'd rather stay home and take care of myself than to go into the hospital and be put in a room with another sick person. I can't do my rituals in a hospital room. So I promised my Hubby and Doc if I got worse then I would go into the hospital. Thank you all for your input. I'll go if I get worse. Blessed be, Ms.Katurah

If you have to be admitted, have your doctor request one. In the hospital the respiratory therapists can give you breathing treatments around the clock every 4-6 hours if necessary. You won't need to worry about taking care of anyone. Your meals will be brought to you etc. Many hospitals have drastically improved their food. <smile> They would no doubt put you on oxygen saturation monitor, and if necessary an EKG. There is oxygen immediately available if you need it. Be sure you take a list of all your medications, especially anything OTC or herbal. One thing to do at home after your nebulizer treatments is take a deep breath, then hold a pillow to your chest and cough so you will bring the mucous up. I don't know what your rituals are, but perhaps there is a shorter version that will help you. About 15 years ago I had pneumonia, it's miserable and very painful. I feel for you dear. Kaylene PS Please take good care of yourself and don't worry about anyone else in the household.
