I have fibromaligia since a young girl. This bout of pain has been very trying and painful. Hi Lynda I'm glad to meet you. How long have you been taking Toradol? It is meant for short term use only. By short term I mean no more than 10 days. Toradaol is an NSAID, like aspirin, or ibuprofen. NSAID's can cause GI ulcers, bleeding, etc. so I wouldn't be surprised if this is the problem. You need to see a doctor asap. Pain in and surrounding your breast bone can mean many things. I'm not a doctor so I will not try to diagnose you. Please do see a doctor asap. Guest guest
Lynda, Mt PCP gave me shots of Toradol after my Discogram to help with my pain, it works in shot form, the Doc told me that in pill form is as good as baby aspirin. One thing about Toradol - It can not be use very often, or for a long period of time since one of the side effects is that it affects the liver, so this is why is not widely prescribe. This is all according to my PCP. --- " lapislyn9 " wrote: > > Hi, > This is my first time posting a message. > > Has anyone every taken this medicine? > > If so, did it help you? >

This is all according to my PCP. All, I agree, the pill form gave me gastritis and Toradol is very abrasive to the gastric system, stomach, intestines. Toradol is a non-steroid anti-inflammatory. Below is the interactions from the internet article: Toradol can increase your risk of life-threatening heart or circulation problems, including heart attack or stroke. This risk will increase the longer you use Toradol. Do not use this medicine just before or after having heart bypass surgery (also called coronary artery bypass graft, or CABG). Seek emergency medical help if you have symptoms of heart or circulation problems, such as chest pain, weakness, shortness of breath, slurred speech, or problems with vision or balance. Toradol can also increase your risk of serious effects on the stomach or intestines, including bleeding or perforation (forming of a hole). These conditions can be fatal and gastrointestinal effects can occur without warning at any time while you are taking Toradol. Older adults may have an even greater risk of these serious gastrointestinal side effects. Call your doctor at once if you have symptoms of bleeding in your stomach or intestines. This includes black, bloody, or tarry stools, or coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee Read more: http://www.drugs.com/toradol.html#ixzz0oK6AaVcf or http://tinyurl.com/2dk8dwg I did vomit coffee looking stuff and had horrible stomach spasm, had to go to the ER for IV's, this was from the oral medication that I was only taking for a week, I made it four days and then started vomiting and had gastritis. You can only take it every now and then. It did help through my IV in the hospital but they were giving me stuff to line my stomach and monitoring me also. Be careful taking it .
