Guest guest
Hello everyone. My name is Robbie. I'm a member of this group, but I haven't posted like in forever. Various reasons. Any who I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 1997, plus CFS. I was in a car accident and there was significant damage to my lower back in addition to arthritis in my neck and back. Fascinating stuff, right? LOL!!! I said all this to say that I was truly desperate. I've been hospitalized 4 times this year for pain management. My blood pressure stayed at 203 over 111. So, obviously I was DESPERATE for relief, right? Well my Dr. mentioned a new experimental drug on the market, specifically for Fibro. He said his wife was taking it so far with no side-effects. Well; I'm here to tell you it almost killed me. It's sorta like a mood enhancer or something. Any way, any side effect you can imagine I had. Sleeplessness, SEVERE irritability, I was wringing wet constantly. It got to a point that I was embarrassed to be around people because I was shaking and sweating constantly. I couldn't focus or concentrate on anything. It took about 10 days to get that crap out of my system; and the Dr. Had to prescribe Xanax and percocet to help me get thru the worst of it. That was MY experience. It may be totally different for someone else, but it was awful for me! So beware. Anyway, I hope to catch up and post more often. May God bless each and every one of you with pain free living, Robbie

I try to keep track of names of meds that have had bad side effects. So if doctor wants me or someone i know to try i can warn them and i can make a better choice myself. I feel this is very important that we all share what we know about different medicine. Thanks so much. Viv in Connecticut
Guest guest
Dear Vivian, You are welcome. I agree with you that it's important to share info. If it helps at least one person, it's well worth it. Blessings, Robbie --Viv in Connecticut wrote: > > Thank for taking the time to tell what happened to you.
