I've been kind of watching from the background for several days to see what the

group is like and see if I was in the right place.

It's hard to know where to start. I have had back issues, migraines and sinus

problems for much of my life (since mid teens) and have had a few back injuries.

I have Fibromyalgia, Myofascial Pain Syndrome, Hemicrania Continua, bilat torn

rotator cuffs, Degen disc and Degen joint disease, 2 old vertebral fractures,

widespread arthritis, hypermobility syndrome, severe degen of the

taleo/navicular joint in my rt foot. I have had surgery on both knees for

recurrent dislocations (from the hypermobility?) and my left knee is now bone on

bone.

Ok. I guess those are the main things.

I just recently went back on prescription pain meds, I have been using OTC's and

herbs for the past year and a half for pain and to try to control the Fibro.

We moved from Michigan to South Carolina not quite 2 years ago and I am still

trying to line up the doctors I need. The first one I went to was a disaster!

After giving me potentially dangerous misinformation an a BP med I went in

search of a new doc.

I finally found what seems to be a good one and finally got referred to a pain

doc. He did ESI injections to my low back with brief relief, but they have

already mostly worn off after just 3 weeks. I am also going to PT to try and

strengthen my back muscles. It all makes for an interesting journey through

life!
