Guest guest
Kim, I'm thinking maybe the lab is screwy... that or Fact Plus is a lot more sensitive then when I owned stock in it (former hpt junkie). It was always 150 miu's... Oh well, what's next? Are they going to do another? Congrats!
Guest guest
Kim, i don't think you should throw in the towel just yet. 80 is not as bad as you think. Just wait a few days, it should double . What did your doctor say? I read about one lady having a really low beta in the beginning, and she ended up being pregnant with twins , and carried them full term. Also it's natural for you to feel like this , look at what you've been through, Just try to stay positive, because the odds are on your side. I'm still saying congratulations.... Just take it easy, RELAX... Queenie
Guest guest
Kim - Where did you find information on beta numbers? I would love to have that information. Thanks, Angel
Guest guest
kim my girlfriend had ivf and was worried about her results needless to say she had a beautiful baby girl 3 weeks ago. Think only about the postive part that your number was 80! I know that it is hard but try to remain postive. I will pray to saint philomena for you. She is the saint for women trying to conceive and we with fertility problems. jenaette
Guest guest
Kim I think those numbers are fine for your first HCG. Your pg!!!! Hooray!! I have seen other women post there HCG levels on IVF and IUI boards. They always are 14dpo or 15dpo. The usual numbers I have seen have been under 100. When do you go for another Beta? Maybe you can post on the IVF fertilethoughts board. Congratulations!! (((HUGS))) Pam
Guest guest
Kim - Congratulations! That's great! So, maybe you are not carrying twins, but you are most definitely pg. Hoping the numbers shoot straight up. a
Guest guest
Kim, I just looked up something on the internet that said 3 wks from your LMP the beta should be 5 to 50, 4 weeks between 3-426, it also said less than 5 means you are not pg., YES you are pg!!!! Yea!!! Keep the faith and I will pray lots for you. It is sooooo early! My beta @ 5 1/2 weeks was 1481 and if you do the math (backwards) that is close to 80 I think @ 14 dpt???? But it is a POSITIVE!!!! Do you go back Thursday? I know I felt better after the 2nd beta testing. Also are they giving you progesterone shots??? I hope all is well! Relax, the hard part is almost over. I am soooo excited for you. Vicki S Patty wrote: > > Well it wasn't the big numbers I was hoping for, but it is +++++ at 80. Guest guest
Kim, My beta was only 95 with a blast transfer! At my clinic, women have had a first beta as low as 48, and gone on to have a healthy delivery!!!! Congrats, hon. This seems to be it! Take care, Krista
Guest guest
To all, You girls are so sweet!Thank you for all the responses so quickly. I have done some research as well and my numbers are in normal range. My repeat beta is not until next week, on Monday. But I have faith (and you girls have helped me so much!) that this is all going to be fine. My e-mail is acting screwy right now, so if i don't post anymore tonight that is why. You girls are awesome, I am so proud you are my friends! ((((HUGS))))) Kim P
Guest guest
Well it wasn't the big numbers I was hoping for, but it is +++++ at 80. Be honest girls, it sounds low doesn't it? I am 14dpt and biting my nails. Good news is I have no spotting or bleeding. But will be monitored closely. I feel really bad. I have had such a hard time believing this was real and now I am let down. And I shouldn't be, I am pg, right? Please pray for me and my baby. Guest guest
Kim, Congratulations sweetie! I know it's not the numbers you were hoping for but it's still definitely a POSITIVE! It's a shame that you have to wait until next week for another beta. But I'm sure everything will be fine. Guest guest
Kim, It's my understanding that the #s themselves don't really matter in the beginning, just that they double every 48 - 72 hrs. They have to start somewhere. When is your next blood draw. Tara
