One of them is they mature; physically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally. Some people call that getting " set in your ways. " So what's wrong with that if it works for you? I didn't start out preferring the company of animals to people, but over the years, people have proven in more instances to be more unreliable, less loving and understanding and more judgmental than any pet I've ever had throughout my life. One of my goals is to find that group of people who also love animals and more importantly like to be around those people who love animals. This represents " possibly " the best of both worlds. I have yet to meet a genuine animal lover who's a bad or mean person. Like your animals, they accept your physical disabilities and any pain restricting your physical activities and instead of chastising you because of it, they see past it and don't let it affect your relationship. Most pets and some people see first your spirit, then the vessel that holds it. Keavan
